Do you have any specific long-term goals? What is one and how do you plan on reaching it?
Losing weight. It's long-term because it takes time, and I've found that doing it bits at a time works best for long-term results.
In January 2006, I finally felt that it was time to do something. I started off at 235 pounds (gasp!). I carry my weight halfway decent so many people couldn't believe I weighed that ever, but scales don't lie (though sometimes I wonder).
I was watching what I was eating, trying to cut out the nighttime snacking, and started exercising. It really helped and I ended up losing 35 pounds. I didn't reach my goal at the time, but how can you really get upset over losing over thirty pounds? I was damn proud of myself! I went down 2 sizes as well, which was probably even more exciting than the weight loss itself!!!
I'm happy to say that I haven't done anything in regards to weight loss throughout 2007, but I have maintained and even dipped to a low of 197.
I will be starting again in January 2008, and right now I'm still thinking about what my goals will be.

LOL! And then you moved into the community who lives to eat not eats to live.
Good luck! I will be joining you next year...
Actually, I managed to lose that 35 pounds right before meeting you and everyone else, and still managed to drop some more weight during that time. Honestly - how I've maintained so well - I don't know - but I'm NOT going to complain!!!!!
