No intervention was needed
I was looking back through my NaBloPoMo '07 posts and noticed one of my Friday fotos of my nails. At that point I had only been growing them about a month or so.

You are so lucky your nails are strong. Mine would have cracked a million times by now...
mine too - would've chipped, cracked, none the same length... Wow, your nails look great!!
